Equivalent conicity calculation after profile measurement
CALIPRI C42 calculates equivalent conicity without additional measurement devices or external contractors.
The conicity value and four additional graphs are displayed on the tablet PC, providing a detailed analysis and a comprehensive view of the results.
Tamper-proof data transmission ensures that you can document results by either printing PDF measurement protocols or exporting them to your database.
This CALIPRI C42 measurement module enables accurate analysis of the wheel-rail interface, providing essential insights into potential vibrations, irregularities in vehicle dynamics, and the critical speed of railway vehicles. The equivalent conicity is determined by the geometry and profile of the wheel and rail.
The conicity value (EC), calculated according to UIC 519 norm and EN 15302 norm, describes the railway vehicle motion pattern, which in turn permits drawing conclusions on the driving comfort and safety. Therefore, input data for calculating equivalent conicity can be measured directly with CALIPRI C42 or entered manually. Once the necessary data is input, the calculation is automatic, displaying the EC value on both the sensor and the tablet. This value is then compared with your reference data, and four additional graphs are presented on the tablet for further analysis, offering a comprehensive view of the results.
